Though I have spent time studying printmaking and drawing, I now spend my time oil painting. My work grows out of my experiences and is often about issues I am dealing with or about experiences I have had. Most recently, I'm enjoying finishing a series of paintings about Guatemala, where I lived in 2007 for 8 months while adopting my 1 year old daughter. My experience of Guatemalan colors, culture and poverty has been the foundation of these paintings.
